I wrote SPEAK about standing up for myself. Today I dedicate this song to all who have been
abused and hurt, and have felt ashamed and alone. You are not alone. We have strength in
numbers, and our voice is our power.

I was raped when I was 16.
For years I never talked about it. Inspired by brave women who have recently publicly shared
their stories, I decided to share mine as well.
People often ask - why are these women coming out now, so many years later?
For me, the voices of this community have helped alleviate feelings of isolation and have
given me tremendous strength.
Speaking openly is my way of saying I am done feeling like a victim.
