On Feb 13, 2026 (a Friday!), I went to a vintage recording studio in Northridge, CA, and recorded a live album.
Imagine yourself in that studio with me, headphones on, eyes closed.
You can hear every breath, every bench squeak, every sound of that half century old grand piano. You're in the moment.
This is what we tried to capture on this live album. Something very real, very human, very "old school" :) Kind of an antithesis to the current world of overproducing and perfecting, and the onslaught of AI.
There are no edits, tweaks, fixes or enhancements of any sort. Just one take, one instrument, one voice.
When recording, if I made a mistake, I'd stop, and start over. At one point I had tears in my eyes and my voice cracked (and this is the take you hear).
Recording this way was both scary and freeing, all at the same time. But it felt good.
And I hope you feel good listening to these piano/vocal arrangements of songs spanning my whole career.
We are making 100 vinyl albums and 100 CDs. Limited edition. Numbered. There will be no more printed, ever. It will not be released to streaming services.
This is a one a kind, unique record. Like in the olden days, haha, when you ordered a record, and had to wait for it to come in the mail :)
